Det. Swartz has been a member of the Toledo Police Department for the last 23 years. In 2006 Detective Swartz was assigned to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Northwest Ohio Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force where he investigates sex trafficking matters. He is a member of the Ohio Attorney Generals Human Trafficking Commission and a member of the Lucas County Human Trafficking Coalition. He was the 2013 recipient of the Paladin Award and in 2014 the Ohio Liberator Award.
