Dr. Amalia Paladino is a criminal justice doctoral candidate at the CUNY Graduate Center/John Jay College and has a BA in Forensic Psychology and a MA in Criminal Justice. She’s a graduate recipient of the Dean Harrison Award (2012-13), the CUNY Writing Fellowship (2011-12), and the Graduate Teaching Fellowship (2007-12). She became interested in life-course trajectories and specifically violent victimization and the commercial sex market after conducting ethnographic work on the CSEC population in Atlantic City. Her current projects explore trauma relativity and misconceptions of sex trafficking.
