Sign up to be a Volunteer!

In order to volunteer, you must have received an email from Anna Schramm at traffickingconference@gmail.com inviting you to be a moderator, room assistant, or safe person volunteer. Please fill out the form below so we can add you to our team.

  • Moderator Volunteer Responsibilities:

    • Introduce the session/speakers and provide housekeeping announcements

    • Share your screen of the presenter’s PowerPoint and play the pre-recorded video

    • Help lead the live Q&A time with the presenter(s)

    • MUST have a laptop/desktop computer with reliable video and audio connection

    • MUST have access to reliable and strong internet connection

  • Room Assistant Volunteer Responsibilities:

    • Set up basic technology settings in the Zoom webinar once in the session

    • Monitor the Q&A and chat boxes for any questions related to the overall conference or technology

    • Communicate to the conference organizer and Zoom consultants if any tech issues occur in your session

    • Help the Moderator with any other issues that may arise during the session

    • MUST be resourceful and quick on your feet

    • MUST know how to answer basic tech-related questions attendees may have (e.g., how to test their volume within Zoom, closing their internet tabs for a stronger connection)

  • Safe Person Volunteer Responsibilities:

    • Connect and talk to attendees throughout the conference who may be triggered by information seen or heard in sessions

    • Provide follow-up resources for attendees who need additional help

    • Be available during the time frame provided to talk to any attendees who reach out via the communication avenue provided (phone call, video call, text, email, etc.)

    • MUST be a licensed social worker, counselor, or other helping professional
